Photon Research Associates Inc. (PRA) has developed RadarWorksTM, a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product which produces real-time, physics-based simulation of an imaging radar operating against synthetic environments comprised of natural backgrounds, cultural features and mobile objects. One of RadarWorks' unique features is that it operates on the same synthetic environment as Multigen-Paradigm, Inc.'s visual (VegaTM) and infrared (SensorVisionTM) simulation products to produce correlated “out-the-window”, radar and infrared scenes. Applications are flight simulators for human-in-the-loop training, radar system performance requirements, human factors research, operator/pilot training and mission rehearsal/mission planning.
