The popularity of the conventional Internal Combustion Engine vehicles powered by petrol and diesel are decreasing due to the pollution caused by them. The demand for pollution free vehicles has been increased over time. One of the types of pollution less vehicles is the Electric Vehicles (EV’s). There are ongoing researches on these vehicles about the Energy Management, Torque control, speed control etc. Energy management is a critical component of modern society, given the increasing demand for energy, concerns about environmental sustainability, and the need for efficient resource utilization. The fuzzy based Energy Management System is having many advantages like reliable and less difficulty to setup. The Hybrid Electric Vehicle comprises of two or more power sources. The fuzzy logic controlled Energy Management System (EMS) shows the systematic command on managing the energy in Electric Vehicles.
