In 1973, Goldstein introduced his log-t detector, which attained the constant false alarm rate property for a class of clutter models including the lognormal and Weibull distributions. This paper shows that under the assumption of Pareto-distributed clutter, false alarm regulation can also be attained. A modification of the log- t detector is shown to enhance its performance in terms of managing interference.
