We adopt an optical fiber tip in referencing volume holograms for spatial multiplexing. Volume holograms are recorded with a reference beam diffracted from the optical fiber. For multiplexing other holograms, the fiber tip is shifted with respect to a photorefractive crystal in the lateral dimension. High selectivity can be obtained due to non-planar wavefronts diverging from the optical fiber.
