Göktürk-l is an earth observation high resolution satellite of the Turkish Ministry of Defence which was launched in 2016. It operates with pushbroom principle and acquires panchromatic and MS images with 0.5 m and 2 m resolutions, respectively. The swath width of the sensor at nadir is 15 km. The main aim of this study is to analysis the geometric accuracy of Göktürk-1 images. Göktürk-1 tripleset imagery has been acquired over Ankara, Antalya, Bergama, Zonguldak and Adiyaman province of Turkey. Göktürk-1 L2A level data are generated by IPS (Ingestion and Processing Services)system of Göktürk Ground Station (GGS), and then high level products (L4A, L3A, L4B, L3B)are generated by IES (Image Exploitation System)of GGS. The Rational Function Model (Based on Rational Polynomial Coefficients-Rpc) has been preferred for high level product generation. The geometric accuracies of high level products are tested using 3D Ground Control Points (GCP)procured from Turkish General Directorate of Mapping and Bulent Ecevit University. Coordinates measured from images are compared manually with true locations of GCP's. The initial results of the study are presented in this paper.
