As an important node of world trade, ports connect the landing side logistics chain with maritime transportation. Reducing the carbon emissions of wharf structure is of importance in maritime transportation. In order to analyze the key factors affecting the carbon emissions, we calculate the carbon emissions in the construction period, which has the highest carbon emissions in the whole life cycle of wharf structure. In this paper, we firstly calculate several actual projects based on existing carbon emission calculation models, including gravity structure and high pile structure, which are the two most common forms of wharf structure. Then, by selecting the carbon emissions per unit surface area of the structure as the standard, we proposed a carbon emission calculation model applicable to wharfs with different structural forms. finally, we obtain the key factors of carbon emissions during the construction period of wharf project through sensitivity analysis. Experimental results show that the carbon emissions of building materials are higher than 70%, and that of high pile wharf is higher than 90%. Additionally, the carbon emissions of wharf structure are positively correlated with the wharf tonnage, and the carbon emissions of gravity structure is more sensitive to the change of tonnage.
