The paper gives a comparative analysis of three methods of radio interference control, which are simpler than the standard method and which can be used in planned periodical inspection of motor vehicles that are in use. Earlier, different authors [1], [2], [3], [4] expressed an idea of using these or similar methods for a periodic control. However, the materials presented by these authors do not enable to compare these methods and to assess the reliability of results obtained in the frequency range 30 to 1000 MHz. As the main parameters of the methods, the coefficients of correlation between the results obtained by simplified methods and by the standard method are considered, as well as the operating-and-technical characteristics of the methods. The reliability of the results being obtained is assessed by two parameters, namely, by a probability of acceptance of a "defective” motor vehicle and by a probability of rejection of an "acceptable" motor vehicle.
