The paper proposes an approach to determine the optimal installation locations for on-board equipment in the fuselage space of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The approach is implemented using a genetic algorithm to solve the multicriteria problem for determine the optimal installation locations for on-board equipment in the fuselage space of a UAV. As optimization criteria, we consider the restriction on exceeding the threshold level of noise immunity of onboard equipment over the electromagnetic environment that has developed because of electromagnetic effects or interactions, as well as the minimum total weighted length of cable connections. The paper discusses studies of the proposed genetic algorithm, which confirm its effectiveness for finding optimal places for installing on-board equipment in the fuselage space of UAV.
