This paper addresses the problem of robustness and strong conservatism of traditional robust controllers for aeroengine. An improved on-board adaptive aeroengine model is designed to estimate engine performance degradation and the degradation term in the engine uncertain models is eliminated. On the basis of the traditional μ controller, a pre-filter and a feedback controller are added. By adjusting the feedback controller, the transfer function of the interference to the output meets the requirements, that is, the ability of disturbance suppression is optimal. On this basis, the pre-filter is adjusted to make the transfer function of reference input-to-output meets the requirements, that is, the system’s tracking ability reaches the best. The two degree-of-freedom μ controller with low conservativeness for aeroengine is developed. The developed control scheme can guarantee that the closed-loop system is robust stable. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented control scheme.
