One billion people with disabilities and senior citizens struggle daily to cross the road; as a result, nearly 59.5% of people have met with an accident while crossing the road. Road signs are difficult for elderly persons to read because of presbyopia and poor cognitive function. Traditional traffic signal systems often struggle to adapt to fluctuating traffic patterns, leading to bottlenecks and delays. Senior Citizen and people with disabilities (PWD) have a lot of trouble crossing the road, which causes accidents. With the use of the GMP Card, senior citizens, School Students and those with disabilities also make it as easier, more convenient, and more user-friendly to cross the road. This system incorporates features like extended pedestrian crossing times, prioritized signal changes for slower-moving pedestrians, and automated detection of individuals with mobility aids. First, it incorporates the audible signals and tactile indicators at crosswalks. Secondly, the use of accessible mobile applications or wearable devices. Thirdly, extend the crossing times in traffic signal. Finally, integrating emergency response mechanisms that automatically adjust signal timings in case of emergencies enhances the overall safety and assistance for both the elderly and visually impaired pedestrians. This encourages the use of environmental friendly transportation methods.
