Suspension system is an important mechanical structure for the vehicle to achieve stability and ride comfort. The performance of the vehicle suspension system directly affects the ride comfort and handling safety of the vehicle. The traditional passive suspension system design parameters once optimized to determine the dynamic changes cannot be made, it is difficult to make the car has a good ride comfort. The semi-active suspension composed of the elastic element and the damped damper has the advantages of low energy consumption and easy realization, and can improve the ride comfort and operation stability of the vehicle. Semi-active suspension not only overcomes the shortcomings of passive suspension system, but also reduces the cost of implementation and becomes one of the research hotspots in automobile technology. Based on the analysis and analysis of the existing research results, this paper takes the semi - active suspension system of the vehicle as the research object and establishes the mathematical model of the two - degree - of - freedom 1/4 - car semi - active suspension. On this basis, the PID control system of semi-active suspension is successfully established, and finally the simulation of the system based on MATLAB/Simulink is carried out. Finally, the design model is verified by simulation.
