Automatic emergency brake (AEB) is an important safety feature in autonomous electric vehicles (AEV). AEB is a system that automatically brakes the vehicle to prevent or reduce the level of damage caused by a collision This system is an important feature of the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) system which is vital for the operation of AEVs. The AEB system needs information about the state of the car's surroundings. Especially information about the distance to the object in front of it and also about the speed of the car itself. The sensor used to monitor the distance with the vehicle in front is the Intel RealSense DepthCam D455 camera sensor. The test is carried out to test the braking time and distance as well as the final braking distance. The test was carried out by varying braking levels and 3 initial speed variations, namely 1.2 Kph, 2.1 K. The results showed that the prototype successfully issued collision warnings via the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) on a Nextion display, with warning times of 1.5 seconds, 1.6 seconds, and 1.8 seconds. And the prototype car is able to stop with a distance between 25 cm - 40 cm from the obstacle. The braking times for the AEB system were 2.6 seconds, 1.9 seconds, and 1.9 seconds. The braking level as the output with a calculated reaction time of 0.085s. respectively. This fast braking speed indicates that the AEB system has a good response to emergency situations
