The article considers immunity of an airborne communication system, against inter-modulation distortion caused by power electronic circuits which transform and stabilize voltage and frequency in the process of production and distribution of electrical energy. Our article examines interfering influence of power electronics on particular part of a superheterodyne receiver, namely mixers. Interference was applied through radio frequency input along with other received signals. Different types of mixers were simulated in Micro-cap 11 evaluation. Results of simulations of two passive balanced diode mixers and of one active balanced NPN mixer are presented in the article. Program for automatic measurement in introduced at the end of article.
