With advancements in machine learning and automation many industries are finding ways to manage laborious tasks for better performance. Many researchers have already started to develop techniques and algorithms considering legal profession to help potential clients in reducing legal costs by predicting the outcome. Computation, automation and artificial intelligence displaced number of basic tasks in law firm. This paper discusses the empirical methods for legal profession that are used to predict the supreme court decisions based on decisions considering the past, merits and demerits, and its performance.
