Mobile signaling data provides a new data source for studying the travel time-space characteristics of air passengers. Based on the mobile phone signaling data, this paper analyzes the characteristics of Fuzhou Changle International Airport’s inbound and outbound passengers, such as travel time, residence location, travel trajectory and so on. The results show that Fuzhou is the main hinterland of Fuzhou airport, accounting for about 85% of trips in this city, and more than 97% of trips in Fuzhou Putian Ningde metropolitan area. The single land side transportation mode is an important reason that restricts the passenger transport development of Fuzhou airport at present. More than 80% of passengers arrive at the airport for more than 30 minutes. In the future, Fuzhou airport should accelerate the construction of a composite passenger transport hub of "airport + high-speed rail / intercity rail", further improve the airport collection and distribution system, effectively expand the airport hinterland, and continuously improve the portal function of the airport hub.
