This paper describes modified voltage oriented control of brushless doubly fed generator (BDFIG) based drivetrain under grid imbalance conditions. Presented control algorithm aimed at improvement of generated power quality of BDFIG based power unit and prevention of unfavourable effects related to work of generator on unbalanced grid. In this paper authors propose modified voltage oriented control of brushless doubly fed induction generator with electromagnetic torque oscillations reduction and modified voltage oriented indirect power control algorithm for grid-side converter providing possibility of total drivetrain balancing under grid imbalance conditions
