The demand for efficient and precise control of Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors has grown significantly in various industrial applications. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers are ideally employed in closed-loop control systems for their simplicity and effectiveness. However, tuning PID controllers for optimal performance in BLDC motor control systems can be a complex task due to the inherent nonlinearity and dynamic characteristics of these motors. This research proposes an Internal Model Control (IMC) based tuning approach for PID controllers applied to closed-loop control of BLDC motors. The IMC method is known for its ability to handle processes ith time delays and significant dynamics. By incorporating IMC principles into the PID tuning process, a more robust and adaptive controller is achieved, enhancing the overall performance of the BLDC motor control system.
