A three-dimensional perspective picture (also camera) calibration technique that use a cub and a vanishing point theorem was developed and tested. According to parallel lines in 3D space viewed in ideal picture appear to meet at a vanishing point, we presented a algorithm that take the radial distortion of camera lens into account for nonlinear calibration of perspective image. Adopt iterative algorithm of approaching step by step to compute the coefficient of radial distortion and main point and other parameters in perspective picture. Experiment show the algorithm is effective and can effectively improve the precision of perspective picture calibration.
