The braking noise generated by the car seriously affects the riding environment in the car. The disc brake has been widely used due to its mature technology, simple structure, stable performance, and long service life. However, the brake disc and brake pad have modal coupling with similar modes of other components, resulting in braking noise. The finite element theory is used to investigate the modal characteristics of each structural component of the brake. The influence of the change of the geometric parameters of the brake pad on the instability of the brake is studied, and the structure of the brake is optimized.
