Road accidents are increasing from years to years. The Ministry for Road Transport and Highways release the Ministry's annual publication “Road Accidents in India-2016”, in 2016 year, 4,80,652 road accidents were recorded. Nearly 1,50,785 persons were killed in 2016 as against 1,46,133 in 2015, while the accident and fatality figures still leave a lot to be desired in the matter of ensuring road safety. There are number of issues in Vehicular Adhoc Network [VANET] like the security, congestion control, decision system etc. Security awareness and protocol management is becoming an important factor in the design of VANET protocols. Because of mobility, it needs the support of scalable routing strategies. VANET is particularly vulnerable due to its fundamental characteristics such as open medium, dynamic topology, distributed cooperation and constrained capability. So security in VANET is a emerging area for the researchers now a day. In this paper the secure scheme we discuss, demonstrates the design, simulation and evaluation of security problems of VANET namely security issues, network congestion and routing. The main objective of this research work is to analyze the performance of existing routing protocols ADOV, DSDV, DSR, and TORA in VANET. The proposed design has accomplished the goal to design an efficient secure routing protocol in VANET using two different approaches for the following implementations. A Secure Vehicle Communications Architecture compliant adhoc network model is developed where RSA is used for implementation. A Crypto Security System model is proposed using MD5. The simulation is carried out in network simulator (NS-2.32).
