Palermo Euro Terminal (PET) Srl is an extended enterprise of the Italian shipping company Grimaldi Group. It specialises in multimodal port logistics of cars, trailers, containers and trucks shipped to the port of Palermo by Grimaldi Ro-Ro Multipurpose and Car Carrier vessels. This paper aims to provide an overview of how Object-Process Methodology (OPM) supported company optimization strategies with the aim of providing a further argument in support of its suitability for System Engineering Management (SEM) in the domain of multimodal port logistics. In the same time, this work aims to serve as practical industry case study for assessing the Object-Process Methodology as effective tool to enhance CognitiveInfoCommunications (CogInfoCom) applications in a real maritime logistics and supply chain environment.
