Multipath scattering via adjacent elements and structures induces nonuniformities in the element patterns of an array. Earlier work investigated mutual coupling compensation for low sidelobe pattern synthesis in small arrays, but did not consider platform multipath. This study compares the alternating projections method and the iterative least squares approach to achieve low sidelobe patterns on a complex platform. Measured element pattern data is used to validate the approach.
