This paper highlights the design, fabrication and a successful levitation of a steel plate. The full levitation prototype has been fabricated with spirit level accuracy. The system parameters have been evaluated precisely by different methods to achieve a better system modelling and stability. The controller has been designed accurately and implemented successfully in the lab developed prototype. The designed controller has been observed as robust compared to the conventional control strategies. Finally, a successful levitation has been achieved.
