This research presents the design and implementation of a smart traffic management system utilizing Arduino Mega 2560 and ultrasonic sensors. The system employs multiple ultrasonic sensors to detect vehicle presence and density in real-time. Based on this data, the Arduino microcontroller dynamically adjusts traffic signal timings to optimize traffic flow and minimize congestion. The proposed system offers several advantages, including improved traffic flow, reduced congestion, enhanced road safety, and reduced fuel consumption. The modular design of the system facilitates easy integration with IoT frameworks for remote monitoring and data analysis. This research demonstrates the potential of utilizing low-cost and readily available components to develop effective and scalable solutions for urban traffic management.
