Train localization techniques and communication devices are combined in a railway system to satisfy critical safety level and operational requirements. The reading of electronic beacons placed on rail ways by on-board electromagnetic communication devices enables vehicle location determination. A specific disturbance appears due to intrinsic sources. The wave created by a beacon placed on one track may be coupled to the cable connecting the antenna to the treatment unit of a train circulating on the other track. By theoretical and experimental studies considering the particularity of railway environment, we checked penalizing cases and levels of induced current on the cable.
