Turbine and electric engines are used in many applications that in some cases are similar to each other like propulsion sources in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). For this reason, hybridization is a good idea to use both turbine and electric enginesadvantages. In this research, the conceptual design of a partial hybrid electric engine is performed. Engine modeling and validation of the results are done. Both series and parallel configurations are investigated and a good improvement in thrust and specific fuel consumption (SFC) of the engine is achieved. As a result, in the partial parallel hybrid configuration, the engine thrust is increased and SFC is decreased by about 2.95 and 2.86 % respectively.
