Based on the configuration of air cushion vehicle flexible skirt and its loaded force, a solution to update complex model of skirt was presented. Through application developments by Visual LISP in AutoCAD and by VBA in CATIA, it can automatically parse nodes with same coordinate on neighbor ear flaps of neighbor fingers and differentiate to form independent left and right ear flap, and merge finger foreface with left / right side ears to form a whole finger mesh. It can also parse skirt outer / inner attach edge to add hull bottom and side cline into mesh model. Finally, it can extract finger deformation from analysis result file (*.odb) in Abaqus and parse boundary edge of finger contacting with ground. For the updated FEM model, each whole finger from hundred could be selected easily, loaded by force, assert un-penetrate restriction between neighbor ear flaps, parse finger position touching with ground during post-process, then form basis for further analysis.
