A finite element model of coach body structure was established based on ECE R66 regulations, and verified through comparisons of front and rear axle load distribution ratio, deformation and modal frequency of simulation and experimental results. After the set up of coach-highway slope collision system, rollover of coach body was carried out by simulation methods, and the movement posture of coach in rolling and intrusion amount of survival space were obtained. The results show that the large deformation of the upper part of coach body is mainly due to plastic crushing of side wall pillars and roof joints; the slope height and gradient have a significant influence on the roll posture, deformation and intrusion amount of occupant's survival space; the occupant's survival space has been invaded, therefore, the coach body structure does not meet the rollover safety requirements.
