At present an analysis of the processes on the Earth surface with the help of Earth remote sensing is becoming one of the most promising methods. Highly informative data, excellent spatial resolution, required intervals of imaging the area under survey are the available advantages of remote sensing materials. Principle limitations are related to integral and qualitative nature of information on the one hand, and the absence of systemized data on the state of the objects under study on the other hand. Therefore, the process of interpretation gives ambiguous results without a proper ground research. At the same time geoinformation technologies (GIS), which are widely used for describing natural systems provides for the creation of complete spatial-coordinated comprehensive data bases for various resources. GIS main advantage is a possibility of materials spatial analysis. Joint application of these technologies (remote sensing and GIS) gives an instrument for fast and effective solution of a class of missions related to qualitative assessments of natural ecosystem state changes caused by both man-induced and natural factors.
