Based on the characteristics of ADS-B system’s open architecture vulnerable to interference and deception, this paper proposes a target deception hypothesis testing algorithm based on position residual. The target position can be calculated by the hyperbolic positioning principle, and then the residual between the ADS-B message position and hyperbolic positioning analysis position are calculated. According to the system requirements, the hypothesis testing probability and tracking distance threshold are set, so that the false alarm rate of the real target, and the correct detection probability and the shortest detection distance of the deception target can be obtained. Monte-Carlo method is used to simulate four base stations in two scenarios respectively. The results show that the algorithm can effectively distinguish real targets and deception targets, and can obtain the shortest detection distance of deception targets.
