In recent years, global digitization increased the demand for data centers. To run a data center there are three major challenges such as rising bills for electricity, power outages and carbon emissions. Data center microgrids are effective choice to enhance reliability and energy efficiency for electrical services. However, managing the scheduling decisions and running the data center in an optimal manner is a challenging task. In this study, a data center microgrid considering different energy units is mathematically formulated and an optimization problem is designed to minimize the operational cost. Bald eagle search algorithm (BES) is adopted to minimize the operation electricity cost and a fair comparison is established with four other algorithms. The results are investigated for two modes of price viz. dynamic spot price and fixed price. It is elucidated that BES algorithm outperforms among other used algorithm in both modes and reduced the operational cost at optimized scheduling decisions.
