CW 94 GHz millimeter wave signals are generated in a LiNbO/sub 3/ optical waveguide. Optical light with two frequency components is introduced into the waveguide, and the generated millimeter waves are obtained from a metallic coaxial terminal. Obtained results in experiments show that difference frequency generation (DFG) is responsible for this phenomenon.
