In parallel with the increasing population around the world, migration to metropolitan cities is increasing rapidly. Due to the increasing population, the tendency to use bicycles to facilitate transportation in metropolitan cities is increasing. The high potential demand for bicycle use and the proper selection of station locations greatly affect the success and sustainability of these systems. In this study, a Geographical Information System (GIS) based multi-criteria decision making system is preferred to determine the most suitable areas for the need for bicycle parking stations throughout the city of Kocaeli in accordance with the location selection criteria. As the site selection criteria; educational facility, shopping, entertainment/recreation, public institutions, transportation structures, sports facilities, health facilities, cultural facilities, and religious facilities are evaluated. In the selection of the bike parking station, it is aimed to be in the most suitable, reachable and accessible location for the user's needs.
