Summary form only given. We report on an effect we referred as "stimulated" soliton pulse formation in a passively mode-locked fibre soliton laser. We found experimentally if there are already soliton pulses in the cavity of the laser, new soliton pulses can be generated one by one with very low pump threshold. This is different to the soliton formation of the laser from a CW state, where a very high pump threshold is required and simultaneously multiple soliton pulses are formed. Studying mechanism of the soliton pulse formation we found that it is a result of existence of dispersive waves in the laser.
