With technological developments and the constant demand for increased safety and efficiency, transport, and aviation, in particular, is one of the most modern sectors of technology. Optimization of known principles is now an essential part of the modernization of aviation technology. The presented manuscript explores the implementation of Hybrid Laminar Flow Control technology, which is to this moment used in airliners only, in the small sport flying sector for significant optimization. The use of a low-speed wind tunnel allowed to verify the established hypothesis and to experimentally validate the proposed modifications of the HLFC technology within the framework of possible integration into the world of “general aviation”. The results of the experiments showed the potential and application in small-scale flying both in terms of increasing flight safety and optimizing the use of aerodynamic elements in order to reduce fuel consumption and flight efficiency.
