A dynamical analysis and a steady state analysis of the synchronous generator to infinite bus using a complete model in variables of phase abc are presented. The system is analyzed before and after applying a single-phase fault. The generator is solved considering numerical acceleration to the steady state by means of a Newton type algorithm. Automatic differentiation is used to calculate the state transition matrix necessary in the Newton method.
