This research aims to investigate and analyze different Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) and conflicts. An approach that includes all the necessary information about crashes is thus set up in a geographical information system (GIS) according to several different characteristics. As a result, incorporating the Severity Index (SI) into the identification of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) hotspots provides a more nuanced understanding, enabling traffic authorities to comprehensively grasp the root causes of each incident. This groundbreaking study not only stands as the inaugural initiative of its kind in Algeria but also holds considerable potential to substantially contribute to addressing similar issues not just in Oran but across various cities.
