Railway operational hazards may lead to other hazards and then may result in kinds of fatalities and injuries. In order to decrease fatalities and injuries, it is necessary to predict railway operational hazards in advance. In this paper, a new approach to predict railway operational hazards is proposed. Its originality is to apply the knowledge graph to railway operational hazards prediction. This paper takes the UK railway operational accidents as a case study. The results show that this approach can effectively predict railway operational hazards. This is of great significance to prevent the occurrence of hazards and decrease fatalities and injuries.
