To tackle problems existed in the software of the airborne flight control system, a new fault location method, based on the principle of statistical debugging, is proposed in this paper. The core of this method is to statistically analyze and sort the result of predicate operation outputted under both normal and abnormal conditions through the software running process, thereby, automatically locating the fault of flight control software. The proposed method is verified by the simulation results. The analysis proves the effectiveness of such a method and confirms that this approach can be further applied to engineering software testing.
