In this paper, based on the analysis of the causes for overvoltage and overcurrent problem when locomotive passes neutral section, a novel uninterruptible neutral section passing scheme(UNSPS) is proposed, which can make locomotive pass neutral section without power loss and eliminate overvoltage and overcurrent problem. According to the different combinations of short and long neutral section, single locomotive and double-connected locomotives, the working sequences of UNSPS are designed. Theoretical analysis and simulation result shows that the proposed UNSPS is suitable for all kinds of locomotives and neutral section modes, and has good practical value.
