The first part of this series introduced the effectiveness of frequency diverse array (FDA) jamming through direct wave propagation in countering airborne phased multiple-input–multiple-output (Phased-MIMO) radar. This part focuses on the effectiveness of the FDA scattered wave (FDA-SW) jamming on the space-time adaptive processing (STAP) for airborne phased-MIMO radar. Distinguished from the clutter signals, the jamming scatterers are distributed on an elliptical ring, and their spatial positions determine the spatial frequency and the Doppler frequency of the FDA-SW jamming signal. This article first derives the trajectory equation of the jamming scatterers and proposes the FDA-SW jamming signal models. Then, we analyze the effects of the FDA-SW jamming on the clutter rank and STAP performance by dividing the phased-MIMO radar into phased array and FDA-MIMO radars. Moreover, we summarize the requirements of the jamming frequency offset in different scenarios. Numerical results verify these theoretical findings and validate the effectiveness of the proposed FDA-SW jamming in countering the phased-MIMO-STAP.
