This paper provides a comparative performance analysis of two power factor correction (PFC) converter topology, namely the Cuk and SEPIC converter. The Hysteresis Current Control (HCC) approach is employed in the input of the PFC. However, for controlling the output voltage, methods like Self Tuned Proportional Integral Controller (STPIC) or Conventional Proportional Integral Controller (PIC) is used. The analysis of both the converters is performed using MATLAB/Simulink tool and the proposed topologies are surveyed under steady state and dynamic state conditions.
