The upper and lower limits of battery state-ofcharge(SOC) are a pair of key control parameters of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) strategy and directly affect the fuel economy and emission performance. In this paper,a parallel HEV model was constructed by using AMESim. Under the same designed driving cycle, the fuel economy and emission performance of the vehicle with different upper-and-lower limit of SOC were studied. The result shows the best upper limit and lower limit of SOC that can make the vehicle achieve the best fuel economyare 55% and 75%.
