This study numerically demonstrates frequency chirp reduction by using the injection locking technique. In this study, the laser system is operated in the stable locking region where many improved modulation characteristics are observed, such as modulation bandwidth enhancement. In the numerical analysis, a single-mode model of a semiconductor laser subject to external optical injection is considered.
