The Avionics system is an information processing system applied to provide information acquisition, resources controlling and mission planning services to aircrafts. Satellite Avionics system faces a much more severe operating environment compared to the other aircrafts since the space environment is complicated and unpredictable. The reliability and robustness of this system need to be improved. This paper proposes a design of Avionics system with high reliability and autonomous controllability. To eliminate the impact of Single Event Latchup (SEL), the system possesses Dual Modular Redundancy (DMR), failure detection and recovery function using high performance CPU and SRAM-type FPGA. Also, a reliability model based on Markov chain theory is established to achieve accurate reliability index of this Avionics system. This model enhances the accuracy of the system reliability index.
