This paper applies the multi-body system dynamics simulation software MSC.ADAMS. Based on the modeling principle of the ADAMS/car, the models of various subsystems such as the front and rear suspension system, tire system, steering system are established. A three-dimensional model of the body subsystem is built using CATIA. After assembly, a complete vehicle model is obtained. A 2D road model is selected for the complete vehicle simulation tests, including steering wheel angle step input, steering returnability, steady-state circular driving, steering effort ease test, and steering wheel angle pulse test. By analyzing the responses of parameters such as yaw rate, steering wheel angle, and the circular driving trajectory of the whole vehicle, an objective evaluation of the bus is made. It has good handling stability, can quickly reach a steady state under different simulation working conditions, and has a non-drastic response. It has good response quality at a vehicle speed of 60 km/h, which is beneficial for the driver to operate the vehicle.
