In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of utilizing a LEO infrared constellation in order to track the midcourse ballistic missile. Due to the limited sensor resources of LEO constellation, an appropriate sensor management policy is necessary. A PCRLB-based sensor management approach is used as the basis for sensor management. Moreover, a BPSO algorithm is presented for use in finding the optimal allocation scheme of sensors for maximizing the tracking accuracy. Simulation results demonstrate that the PCRLB-based approach proposed in this paper outperform the unmanaged systems.
