This paper investigates the impact of the antenna arrangement, such as the centralized and distributed schemes, on the theoretical system capacity of multiuser multiple-input and multiple-output (MU-MIMO) systems in the presence of terminal mobility. In our theoretical analysis, we assume that the propagation model of the centralized or distributed scheme is characterized by scattered waves that arrive at the mobile station (MS) from the same or different angles because of the antenna arrangement of the base station (BS), and theoretically analyze the multiuser interference (MUI) caused by terminal mobility. Furthermore, we compare the performances of the centralized and distributed schemes using the proposed analysis.
