This paper explores the adaptation of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar for traffic sensing on an e-bike platform, emphasizing cyclist safety through enhanced situational awareness. By enabling real-time operation and ensuring scalability for cost-effective deployment, the system offers a robust solution for detecting and tracking approaching traffic. The study highlights the potential of radar technology to extend advanced safety features to vulnerable road users, addressing a critical gap in modern traffic systems.
