The Emergency Vehicle detection system on traffic junctions is a system that seamlessly integrates with the existing traffic signal which helps to enhance safety by reducing the actual response time of the emergency vehicles which is approaching the traffic signal. This System is building a Radio Frequency identification system (RFID Module). As the Emergency vehicle approaches the signal (which is integrated with the RFID module) the tag detector detects the legal RFID tag which is embedded in the emergency vehicle and hence turns the signal green via the microcontroller (ATmega 328P). The project exemplifies societal modernization by incorporating contemporary technological advancements into road infrastructure and traffic signals, thereby improving safety. The system facilitates emergency vehicles in reaching their destinations swiftly, addressing situations such as accidents or emergencies. The study reveals a reduction in accidents and collisions involving normal and emergency vehicles, acknowledging the urgency of the latter to reach their intended destinations (such as places where accidents have occurred, Hospitals, Fire station, etc.) also many generous people have lost their life’s due to the collision or crashing with the emergency vehicles. Thereby integrating this system with the traffic signals on the road intersection, will reduce the accidents caused by emergency vehicles. This will also fulfill the motive of the emergency services, as they would not collide with the cars and people to save the lives of other individuals
